Our sample sets are a great way to try some of our mica. They perform wonderfully in soaps and cosmetics but are also perfect for other applications such as paintings and resin casting.
0.5 ounce (14 grams) is between 3-5 tablespoons of color.
1.5 ounce (42 grams) is between 9-12 tablespoons of color.
Some mica is heavier and some lighter therefore their volume differs. Some mica is also stronger in color (requires less to be used) and some are more delicate.
Generally ½ -2 teaspoons of mica are used per pound of CP and HP soap with about ½ tsp in M&P soaps.
42 gram of soap can color between 7 – 13 pounds of soap depending on color intensity
All our mica are stable in soaps.
